Environmental Planner

We are a firm with unique and exciting projects looking to add new talent to our multi-disciplinary team of landscape architects, archaeologists, biologists, and environmental planners. Our Environmental Planning team offers unique opportunities to work on a full range of environmental planning services, including resource assessments and management plans, corridor management studies, Title VI/Environmental Justice surveys, environmental impact statements (EISs), environmental assessments (EAs), categorical exclusions (CEs), and environmental overviews (EOs). We have established strong working relationships with federal, tribal, state, and local resource and regulatory agencies.

This position is in our Tempe, Arizona office with our Environmental Planning team. This entry level person will assist in preparing National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) studies and natural, social, and cultural resource planning documents.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Biology, Planning, Anthropology, Engineering, Landscape Architecture, or Environmental Studies or closely related field
• Basic orienteering skills: reading a topographical map, and using a compass and GPS equipment
• Basic technical written and verbal communication and public speaking skills.
• Proficient with Word, Excel, and data management software.
• Must have basic knowledge of the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), Clean Water Act, Endangered Species Act, National Historic Preservation Act, Section 4(f) of the Department of Transportation Act, and Title IV.
