Training
Maricopa County Dust Control Training and Monitoring
Logan Simpson Design Inc. (LSD) provides Basic and Comprehensive dust control training for activities in Maricopa County. Recently, the County passed new and more stringent Air Pollution Control Regulation Rule 310, which requires control of dust generated by any ground-disturbing activity for projects of 0.1 acre or more in size. LSD offers Basic training (for projects of less than 5 acres) and Comprehensive training (for projects of 5 acres or more).
Training Locations

Training is provided at LSD’s home office at Third Street and Mill Avenue in Tempe, unless otherwise noted. LSD trainers can also provide training at your location for groups of 15 or more.

Basic Dust Control Training
Graduates of this 3-hour training course will be qualified to provide dust control monitoring services for sites of less than 5 acres. Maricopa County requires that all water pull and water truck drivers take this training. The County also requires that site superintendents or their designated representatives take this training for permitted sites of 1 acre or more that are subject to Rule 310.
Cost: $100 (10% discount for groups of 15 or more)

Comprehensive Dust Control Training
Graduates of this 6-hour training course will become certified Dust Control Coordinators who are qualified to provide dust control monitoring services for sites of 5 acres or more. Lunch is provided.

Cost: $200 (10% discount for groups of 15 or more)
