National Park(ing) Day
LSD created a temporary mini-park in a metered parking space outside its main office at Third Street and Mill Avenue in downtown Tempe, Arizona on September 19 as part of National Park(ing) Day. This annual event, sponsored by the Trust for Public Land, celebrates parks by creating temporary parks in public parking spaces. LSD’s landscape architecture and environmental planning staff has planned and designed more than 4.5 million acres of parks and open space, making the firm among the foremost park and recreation planners in the West. The public and LSD staff enjoyed the mini-park, which featured native vegetation, a seating area, and live music. For more information, contact Greg Brown or Jackie Keller at 480-967-1343.
