LSD believes that shooting facility planning and design should provide a safe environment for sport-shooting participants while protecting the natural environment. These plans and designs should be developed in consultation with facility users, interested organizations, state and local agencies, and the community at large. Our experience includes site selection; preparing National Environmental Policy Act documents and associated technical resource reports; conducting public scoping to inform the public of each project and to gather public input on issues and concerns, as well as overall facility program elements and activities; coordinating and keeping interested agencies and stakeholders informed; developing preliminary facility programming; and conducting public relations to ensure the public stays informed of project progress.
