The CPD Team has developed a solid, effective approach to parks and recreation master planning. We develop parks and recreation master plans that are consistent with the goals, objectives, and policies of our client communities’ general plans, ordinances, and standards and that include defensible park and recreation criteria and standards. Our approach to parks and recreation master planning includes

• Developing a solid understanding of key planning issues that must be addressed
• Utilizing a comprehensive methodology that builds on any previous efforts and is augmented with new research, analyses, and public and staff input
• Creating a public participation process that builds on an understanding of community needs and issues and facilitates early public decision making
• Applying knowledge and experience gained through previous community-wide master plans and park and recreation site feasibility studies
• Implementing an effective project management approach to complete projects on time, within budget, and according to our clients' expectations
