LSD’s Biology Team performs species-specific habitat evaluations and monitoring for threatened, endangered or candidate species listed under the Endangered Species Act. Additionally, we routinely prepare habitat evaluations and project-related impact assessments for other special-status species habitats, including big game, waterfowl, neotropical passerine birds, and identified focal species, for highway permeability assessments, wetland, and sensitive wildlife habitat elements assessments. Our biologists prepare determinations of habitat suitability for sensitive species; assess the sustainability of naturally functioning ecosystems; and make recommendations for habitat enhancement or restoration. LSD prepares habitat assessments and maps habitat types for species of interest, facilitating preparation of wildlife management and habitat conservation plans. |
